TEMPORARY LECTURER IN COMMUNICATION AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDIES,
MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY
Campus: Tottenham (London N17)
Grade: Lecturer
Salary:Lecturer A scale
Period: One-year temporary post (1 September 2003 to 31 August 2004)
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Ph.D awarded or in final stages of preparation in relevant area of
English language and linguistics or communication studies
Evidence of academic publications and/or research activity in a
relevant area
Teaching experience, at higher education level, in linguistics or
relevant area of communication studies, including ability to prepare
and deliver degree-level modules including in: sociolinguistics;
language and gender
A fraction of the post (0.2 roughly equivalent to one module of
teaching) will involve contributing to Applied Linguistics and TEFL
There may also be an opportunity to contribute to MA teaching.
