There's been an amount of discussion and confusion amongst some of us
working on budgets regarding a start date for the new grant.
Some were assuming 1.4.2000; others 1.10.2000.
It now appears that Cam and York could feasibly start on 1.4.2000 because
we have RAs in place and therefore won't need much time after EPSRC's
February decision (assuming the decision is positive, of course). If UCL
is advertising for a new RA, 1.10.2000 might suit them better.
We need to decide collectively:
1 can we stagger a start date so not all sites start together?
2 when should the start date(s) realistically be?
