John and I have been talking about the phonological features to use in the
syllable grammar. I'm a bit concerned that the features I sent you on
Friday (the ones we used in YorkTalk) won't let us (Sarah in particular)
sort classes of sounds together easily -- for example, there's no easy way
to get all "obstruents" together. We think we probably need to rethink
this.
Do you have any opinion on this (Sarah in particular)?
we're going to investigate two things: HLSyn type parameters, and a
feature inheritance lattice Mike Broe has been working on.
