Main message for the bridging grant:
It seems definite that we should ask for only 4 months.

    Reasons:
    1. Cost to grant of salaries for Sebastian and Rachel, 100%:
              1 month 4 months
    Sebastian 3618 14,472
    Rachel 2994 11,976

    2. Jill is right: we need to get the new proposal in by July, for an early
    September panel.
I'm sorry for being confused: I was working too fast, and mixing ideas re
    a 4-month and a 6-month grant (from 1 June).

So, taking up all responses. And thanks for all responding - fantastic!
     1. I;ll write the bridging grant. I;ll ask for help as needed. Please, if
I ask you, respond immediately whether you can help, and when you will -
it helps me plan my days, and I have a lot of other people waiting for
    stuff from me too.
     2. I'll ask Nigel questions as and when. I have already sent him the set
we already agreed on, and asked him to confirm that £30k is acceptable
(because it give Rachel and Sebastian 4 months full time.)
     3. UCLers: pls work out a 4-month contribution for Rachel, and also
something closer to a 2-month one in case Nigel decides 20k is better than
    £30k.
     4. York: Please amend either John's or Richard's contribution with 4
months in mind, or send a substitute one as you deem best.
     5. UCL and YOrk: I expect you will have to get in your own ERPs. Please
be ready to do this in the first week of APril. It will not be a lot of
work, given that I;m doing the writing and we can use the same CVs as
    before.

    Re the big grant:
     1. We will need to submit early July. I will get a date from Nigel later
on, but I think early July sounds realistic.
     2. Richard: you told me you'd have some time before you go to Finland. I
think you could make a really valuable contribution, either by planning,
or by wirting a section, or by researching a particular bit that we were
weak on before. Please make a suggestion re what you would like to
    contribute, and when.
     3. For the rest, I think we will have to wait till Jana has coordinated
our diaries on Monday. Jana, thanks for doing this. I will send you mine,
up to the end of July, over the weekend.

    Sarah
