    Dear Sebastian,

Many thanks for your very clear document about testing. Yes, I do realise
that UCL needs to get the pretests sorted. We *ought* to be able to get
stimuli prepared by 6 March. Now we have the extension, I'm assuming that
we will be using the pretests to test for any significant differences
between syllable classes with sonorant onsets, as originally outlined in my
document of 8 Feb. I understand that we need to produce some
"filler"/distractor sentences as well, as described in Richard's minutes.
What I'm not sure about is how many sentences we need altogether: can you
help? 24 basic sentences we *do* want to test -- + x? fillers... I
*think* we thought we'd stick with a between-groups design after all, but
    your opinion is important here!

    Jill
