I am a sociolinguist/cognitive anthropologist interested in the pragmatics
of metaphorical discourse.
I am also involved in a study of aural attention and the process of
identifying, comprehending speech, and conducting conversations in noisy
settings. Is there anyone applying relevance theory to issues of
attention and comprehension in noise?
