For those of you interested in how speakers convey linguistically their propositional attitude towards the assumption the intend to communicate, there is an interesting article by J.L. Lemke at

called Resources for Attitudinal Meaning: Evaluative Orientations in Text Semantics (submitted to Functions of Language). Although it does not follow a relevance-theoretic approach, it does shed light onto different ways of expressing propositional attitudes textually, some of which may even undergo some kind of conceptual/procedural re-shaping by relevance analysts...
