Chandler House Rooms and Research Facility Bookings

These pages are for local bookings of rooms and research facilities by staff based in Chandler House.

Chandler House Staff

Please check availability for the room you want using the calendars on these pages and then click on Book to proceed to a booking form via a login screen. For small rooms for short lengths of time in the near future, this booking will then be made automatically for you and you will receive a confirmation email. For other bookings, a request will then be sent to the relevant room bookings team (Estates for G10, 118, B01 and B02; Chandler House staff for other rooms) and will be dealt with as soon as possible.

If you have any special requests (e.g. for a series of bookings) or questions, you can email ch-roombookings@pals.ucl.ac.uk instead.

Chandler House Research Students

For the basement recording and listening rooms, please use the calendar below to check availability and then click the Book button to proceed to the booking page.

For all other rooms, please check availability for the room you want using the calendars on these pages and then email ch-roombookings@pals.ucl.ac.uk with details of your requirements, including the member of staff authorising this booking. This will be dealt with as soon as possible. Research students with joint staff status may use the Staff system as described above.

Chandler House Taught Students

For the basement recording and listening rooms, please use the calendar to check availability and then click the Book button to proceed to the booking page. Taught students should first get authority from their project supervisor before making bookings of the research facilities. Please indicate the name of your supervisor in the title of the booking.

For the library study room (214e), please use the calendar to check availability and then click the Book button to proceed to the booking page.

To book G13 for video editing purposes, or another small room for Peer Assisted Learning, please check availability for the room you want using the calendars on these pages and then email ch-roombookings@pals.ucl.ac.uk with details of your requirements. LOCALLY-BOOKED ROOMS

Recording/Listening Rooms

The research rooms in B05 are a shared resource and we expect users to respect this and only book slots that will be used. Please be sure to cancel any booked slots you are not able to use as soon as you know it. You should not block book any of the rooms for more than 16 hours a week without making a prior request through Andrew Clark.

Some rooms contain specialist equipment:

  • Booth B contains equipment for TMS and cannot be booked by anyone not involved in TMS work. It is locked with a key in any case, so cannot be readily accessed.
  • Booth E contains an eye-tracker, so should not be booked before checking with Andrew Clark.
  • Booth F contains equipment for fNIRS, so should not be booked before checking with Andrew Clark.
  • Booths C and D have priority for EEG work, so please try to avoid booking these if others are available. No special permission is required to do so for occasional small-scale use but please consult with Andrew Clark for more extended use.
  • For non-specialist usage, please use booths G, H or K. Booth H contains a set up for speech recording.
