VDEGREE

NAME

vdegree - estimate degree of voicing in a speech signal

SYNOPSIS

vdegree (-i item) (-a) (-t threshold) (-N) (-A|-E|-R|-Z) file

DESCRIPTION

vdegree uses a number of short-time features to estimate the degree of voicing in a speech signal. Measures include: energy distribution, zero-crossing rate and autocorrelation.

Options and their meanings are:

-I Identify program and exit.

-i item Select input item number and type. -a Output annotations calculated from thresholded track, rather than the track itself. -t threshold Supply threshold for annotation output. Default 0.5.

-A Output track is size of peak in autocorrelation function. -E Output track is energy. -R Output track is first reflection coefficient. -Z Output track is zero-crossing rate. -N Output normalised track values rather than raw scores

INPUT ITEMS

1.xx Speech waveform.

2.xx Lx waveform.

OUTPUT ITEMS

16 Voicing degree.
