To link our work with other related work on British English, we suggest
the following addition to the end of the background, along with a ref
to Htizeman et al.
Our work is related but complementary to the SOLE project [30], which
explicitly models rhetorical and discourse structure for synthesis. Our
approach differs, however, in its emphasis on linguistic rather than
statistical modelling of the
phonetic consequences of discoursal phenomena.
