Another agenda item for Nov 6: labelling.
(Richard, Sebastian, Rachel (our head labeller!) and I talked yesterday,
and I think it is clear that it could be beneficial for us all to sit
together, able to look at the same utterance if necessary.)
Colleagues who wish to discuss labelling issues could perhaps outline
what they are, and the filenames of utterances that exemplify them,
beforehand if poss so we've had time to think about it.
Sebastian and Mark will need to discuss how to deal with the phonetic
detail and phonemic labeling in the XML files. Perhaps they could try to
do that BEFORE the meeting, so that we can be reasonably sure (via
Sebastian) that any decisions we make on that day will be acceptable to
Mark.
As I write this, it occurs to me that it might be useful to know when
Mark would be free for a phone call on Nov 6. If he is able to talk by
phone, he can be involved in the meeting to some extent.
best,
Sarah
