What about
*definition of control structure in terms of linguistically-informed,
head-driven prosodic hierarchy?
And
*XML implementation of this control structure?
You're probably saying that elsewhere anyway, but they're pretty central to
the project and could be flagged up as separate items of progress.
Re database: so far it's a prosodically constrained subset of the subset of
structures we want to look at, and that further sets of items will be
systematically introduced; again, you probably elaborate on this elsewhere.
Do we want to distinguish between the automatic parsing/labelling of
database (100%), and the more recent exercise of hand-correcting the
segmental labels and adding acoustic events? Not quite clear in your list.
*f0 modelling, which will require its own level of labelling, is about to
begin in earnest, now we have Jana in place. We have a preliminary
mechanism for f0 manipulation.
Our own project meeting agenda needs to include some brainstorming about:
a) what we can do for San Francisco; b) how to make a grant extension look
irresistible; and c) possible "side" projects not covered by grant.
I'm currently trying to make my IP grammar (what sits on top of Richard's
syllable grammar) make sense, and will bring a document to the meeting.
Still no sign of a map!! At least we have the name of a building...
See you soon.
