How are the Cambridge utterances to be represented in the database?
1. Eg:
It was rust(y)(ier)
It was lust(y)(ier)
Do we need to expand them into rusty, rustier, lusty, and lustier
respectively so that there are 4 utterances?
2. Eg:
to the Who (*** i.e. the pop group!)
Are comments important enough to be retained in the database?
3: Eg:
it's the whore (+bl) - it's a whore (-bl)
Are such utterances better represented in the database as pairs in order to
be meaningful/purposeful?
4: Eg:
it's rife with (dames)
it's life with (James)
How are the parentheses to be interpreted and represented in the database?
5: Eg:
let's erect
let's elect
I think we agreed to have utterances complete in such a way that transitive
verbs are duly complemented. Is erect transitive or intransitive in our
syntactic analysis?
