Group 1 (expanded, Jan 1998, to differentiate between monomorphemic and polymorphemic rhymes exemplifying particular coda clusters, where possible, and re-classifying "blockers")*. Alternative classifications are suggested for the polymorphemic rhymes.

Summary of Group 1

This group gives us a basic set of 113 "nuclear" monosyllables to work on. It should be possible in due course to devise a "control" set which matches these specifications.
