I am a PhD student working on how comprehenders integrate social information about the speaker in utterance interpretation.
I would like to ask you if there is any relevant/relevance paper on terms of address, and more specifically on slurs/epithets (a relevant question would also be whether there is an encoded meaning of slurs/epithets, if any).
I would appreciate any feedback!
