Hello all,
This is not directly concerned with RT, but I was hoping someone can help me
with it.
I am interesed in reading about computational linguistics and using
computers in language analysis. My readings, so far, tell me that there is
no consensus about the definitions of computational linguistics and natural
language processing and in what ways they are similar or different, in
addition to their relation to the bigger field of arificial intelligence.
So,till now the question is: are CL and NLP two independent disciplines or
one is a subdicipline of the other?
In order to find an answer for this question, I am trying to collect
definitions from books and specialized encyclopedias. But, the problem is in
the lack of recent references. So I would appreciate it if anyone has access
to such books or references starting 2000 onwards to send me definitions of
CL and NLP (direct quotations with reference information).
Also if anyone knows of webites (other than the Association of CL) or online
references with useful information abou this it would be great if you would
let me know about it.
Thanks..
Mai
