Hi everyone. I've subscribed to the list for over a year now and am stuck
    with my own thesis.
Help. I am addressing how RT can contribute to interpretation/hermeneutics
    (specifically biblical parables).
What I haven't been able to see through, is what RT says about reducing a
metaphor or parable to only propositions.
I don't believe that reducing a parable or metaphor to all of its consituent
    parts in prose will communicate
completely(?). Some say that making implicatures explicit is the same thing
as reducing (or in actuality, enlarging)
a given metaphor to propositions, but I still think there is something
unsaid. :) Is there a connection between
propositions and the conduit metaphor? In all honesty, I am not sure of the
scope of the questions I am asking,
but if anyone could give me a lead, I would greatly appreciate it. If you
have something for me privately, you can send
it to me at roberts@twu.ca. Thanks
