This tutorial will introduce the basic facts about the articulation of plosives.

If you complete this tutorial you should be able to

• describe in simple terms the articulation of any plosive sound
• recognise the phonetic symbols which are used to represent plosives
• distinguish plosives from other speech sounds
• recognise plosives from diagrams of their articulation
