SPSC3005 - Research Methods and Statistics II

This study area introduces students to a range of research methods particularly suited to the study of communication disorders, and builds on skills and knowledge acquired in course unit B215 (Research Methods and Statistics 1) to introduce more advanced statistical techniques.

FAROSON is a free program for displaying a real-time scrolling coloured pattern from speech sounds. The aim is to construct a pattern that reflects our subjective sensations of loudness, pitch and timbre. The program may be useful in teaching about the nature of sound sensation.
