SPSC2004 - Research Methods and Statistics I

This introduction to Research Methods and Statistics is taught in the Autumn Term only. Students learn the principles of research methodology in addition to basic descriptive and elementary inferential statistics. The use of a statistical computing programme, SPSS, is introduced at the outset of the Autumn Term.

ESynth is a free program designed to explain the harmonic analysis and synthesis of signals. With ESynth you can create signals by adding together individual sinusoidal waveforms (sinewaves) and study the resulting waveform and spectrum.
