SPSC1002 - Practical Phonetics

Outline (more details can be found on the Life Sciences Faculty Courses Database)

Closely integrated with SPSC1003 Phonetic Science, this course aims to develop the practical phonetic skills that are essential prerequisites for clinical applications. These include skills of analytic listening and speech sound identification; speech sound performance; and techniques for the phonetic representation of speech, using symbolic transcription where appropriate.
