I guess you will find Gibbs et al 's paper on metaphors for the Journal of
Pragmatics 2009 very interesting.

Rarely are articles of this type published, recently.

I suppose RTs might reply to this article, which tries to incorporate
findings from RT.

The discussion of Ira Noveck is interesting, albeit I do not agree with
Gibbs et al on that point. Noveck may be right.

The article is also a good guide to experimental pragmatics.
