I especially like the following consideration:

The central claim of relevance theory is that thee xpectations of
relevance raised by an utterance are precise and predictable enough to
guide the hearer toward the speaker's meaning.

(Wilson & Sperber 2004, in Hor & Ward 2004, Blackwell)

There is clearly an emphasis on objectivity in the interpretation
procedure and on the centrality of the speaker's intnetions.

The speaker's intentions are not just there in the ehad, but are displayed
in discourse and make themselves recognized in discourse through clues
that CANNOT but point to the speaker's intentions given the propoensity of
the human mind to promote RELEVANCE and opt for the most relevant
interpretation.
