hi,
as was recommended on the subsciption website for this list, i introduce
myself. i am a student of psychology at goettingen university and preparing
for my "diplom" degree.
i have recently stumbled across relevance theory while searching for
psychological elaboration on grice's ideas on conversational maxims and was
excited about it. it has never never appeared in my education up until this
point which is somewhat surprising since the institute i am studying at
very proudly emphasizes cognitive psychology.
i am hoping to witness interesting discussions on this list that will
intensify my acquaintance with relevance theory and stimulate my scientifc
thinking.
thank you,
johann
