Online IntonationOI! is a set of exercises written in JavaScript for Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or higher and Netscape 4 or higher. The aim is to provide practice in associating the sound of an intonation pattern with a commonly used system of notating intonation in English.
Each exercise consists of two parts:
- A set of six different intonational versions of the same sentence. You can listen to a sound clip of each and see a brief description of the pattern.
- A self-test section: you are presented with the sound clip of a randomly chosen utterance from the set of six and your task is to choose the correct utterance
