Backup of Data on Phonetics and Linguistics Network Disks

Data on all disks attached to UNIX systems except /tmp in Dept of Phonetics 
and Linguistics is backed up onto systems in UCL Central Computing Systems.

Backups are managed as follows:-

New data is backed up every day between midnight and 7am.

If a file or directory has not been deleted, its current version is kept plus 
any previous version for 30 days.

If a file or directory has been deleted a copy is kept for 60 days.

The basckup system is for emergency recovery of data only, not for data
storage.
